Hotel David welcomes you with the charm and intimacy of a manor house surrounded by greenery in the Oltrarno neighborhood, an area well served by public transportation.
Walking along Lungarno Cellini, which takes you to Ponte Vecchio and the historic center of Florence, you can admire the magnificence of the Duomo Cathedral.
Hotel David is located at the beginning of Viale Michelangiolo , which leads to the panoramic hilltop view from the square of the same name, where you find a copy of Michelangelo's David; the church of San Miniato al Monte isn't far away from there.
By Car
We are outside the restricted area ZTL of Florence downtown and we have a private free parking for our Guests.
From Venice, Milan and Rome the best exit from highway is Florence Impruneta.
You have to follow the signs for Center and Viale MichelangioIo (AVENUE not VIA Michelagiolo). After 2 km (1.2 miles) you will find a yellow sign pointing the direction to Piazzale Michelangelo. Once you arrive at the Piazzale Michelangelo, a splendid big terrace overviewing the city, you have to continue driving downhill along the tree-lined avenue. We are at the end of the boulevard to the right side.
From Siena and San Giminiano it's the same because the freeway to / from SIENA ends at Firenze Impruneta, so you can follow the same indications above.
From Lucca you have to pay attention as soon as you get close to Florence! You will find the indication for Rome and Siena and you have to follow that sign which will take you to Florence Impruneta exit, then you follow the same indications above.
From Train Station
Our best suggestion is to take a TAXI (about 10 minutes ride) and the approximate cost is Euro 15.00 daytime. There are always taxis at the train station.

Bus - Autolinee Toscane
As you exit the station you will find the C4 bus stop.
Your ticket must be purchased at the ticket booth inside the station before boarding.
The ticket must be stamped on board.
Cost is € 1.70 per person and is valid for 90 minutes.

Duration of journey: approx. 30 minutes.

from Airport
The best way to reach the Hotel from the Florence Airport FLR is to take a TAXI (about 30 minutes ride time - about Euro 35,00).
